Last week I had a meeting of my quiltgroup the LYONNAISES
we met during the first Quiltexpo in Lyon in 1996 (?)
we see each other once in the 3 months,
are not living nearby most live in the south of the Netherlands.

This is my friend Adri she is the oldest of the group
she is 91 and still making quilts ,
this one is for her new greatgrandchild

This is Jeannette here label quilt.
Mine is in the UFO box hope to finish this quilt once.

this are Leontine and Jeannette with their results of a workshop they made
The name of the teacher is Ineke Berlijn(?)

this is my friend Tineke with her houses quilt

  1. Oh, I hope I can still make quilts when I am 91.

  2. Karen, so do I, a few of the ladies in my quilting group are well over 80 and their output puts me to shame. As a new quilter I have not yet gotten to the stage where I have more than one project on the go but I can see how it happens - I am most anxious to finish my current piece so that I can get going on using blocks my group did for me in our block exchange.

  3. Hi. I stumbled across your blog (love it) as I was preparing for a quick visit to Amsterdam next week and am looking for local places to buy local fabric. Can you recommend any local places?
