                  In Birmingham I met a nice lady from India her name is Geeta Khandelwal
                                          
                                 Quiltmania made a magnificence book with quilts from India.

                                I have been in India 5 times so I was trilled to see this Quilts.
                                It made me  to want to go back.

There was a expo of the quilts from the book

 

I went to a lecture about the quilts.

The difference with the way "we"quilt is that

these quilts are made from the border to the middle.

                                            I made a babyquilt for my cousin
                                                    (together with Isabeau.)
                                            
                                    

She lives in America

I used the red white and blue

for the flag of the USA and The Netherlands.

One boat is orange

 

I used the star singles paper

 

 

For the back of the quilt I found this

                          I was in Paris as you saw in my last blog to visit Wil
                          and also to see the exhibition of Joke Visser.
                          There were beautiful dutch cross stitch - and darning-samplers.

Today I spoke Joke, It is a great succes,

A lot of the books are sold and many visitors.

Antique Quilts from An Moonen

 

Last Friday I was at the Opening of the exhibition of AN MOONEN.

it will be till 23 june

on friday, saterday and sunday from 13.30-17.00 hour.

it is a small expo, but nice to see.
